"White Powder": explosives?

According to this article, the powder found on the site in "thousands" of boxes on April 3rd was not chemical weapons, but suspected of being explosives.

I've heard from other sources that the natural state of these explosives is a white powder, before it is mixed into plastic explosives.

Okay, now what? Did the 3rd ID just leave that all there? The blogosphere is trying to track down Col. John Peabody. We'll see what happens.
