Buying memory cards on-line

Does anybody have any opinions on what sites have the best prices/selection for various PC's?

I need to buy additional RAM so that I can upgrade some systems from Win 98 to XP Pro.

P.S. What's the best way to wipe a Hard Drive clear so I can start over and load XP from scratch? Is runing the command "FORMAT C:" from a DOS prompt a bad idea? Seriously, I've done it before and it worked!
