With my new Sony DSC-V1 digital camera, I pointed my ETX90 to the Moon, with a 40mm eyepiece and an adapter for the Sony digital camera (the screws are annoying-very small but it must be secured on the eyepiece).
I used the night mode and delayed the shot (to avoid vibrations). I'm testing it on all kinds of configurations (lots of non-usable pictures). According to the instructions, the camera can take 30 seconds exposures.
From the attic. The red light is from the ETX 90.
From the terrace, the telescope aims at the Moon.
Can you imagine that every living being on Earth, that can see, has seen the Moon...while we can't see any further than 5 miles around us!
The moon, our celestial companion.
