Let's give felons a shopping list of houses where they can go to get guns.

Let's make sure that the gun owners of the United States have a demonstration of what they can expect from those who oppose them. Why talk to their opponents? Why register weapons so that some self-righteous idiot can publish the list for everyone to see? The object of "concealed carry" is that no one can see.

Let's use the tactics of the anti-abortion nuts on law-abiding people who are just following their own beliefs within the letter of the law.

Have we seen any real investigative journalism here? Have they posted the names and addresses of felons in illegal possession of guns? Nooooo. Real journalism is hard, and dangerous. Let's practice Barbie Journalism! Let's make the NRA's point for them: go after the people who voluntarily comply with the law. They're easy. And now they're angry. More likely to oppose law that will make them easy prey for Barbie Journalists.

Oh, thank you sooooo much, Journal News. The gun insurance proposal, which had such promise, has just been handed an enormous set-back before it had a chance to be discussed by serious people. Database of gun owners? HA! Gun owners now have a vivid demonstration of what happens with that.
