Just saw Anne Nivat on TV tonight.
A french journalist (for Liberation), she's fluent in Russian language and has been living and reporting from within Chechnya (perhaps one of the few without any authorization from Moskow, truly free to report).
As a woman, she managed to get connected to women in countries at war (a radio broscast). She's been in Afghanistan and Iraq and has written books.
The Afghans can'r wait for the western soldiers to leave their country. Both Afghanistan and Iraq are in total chaos (that's what fascinates her as those countries live uncertain times, in transition).
It's le bordel in those countries....
