re: Make that three of us!
While I feel that Bush's space initiative is a Good Thing, and important for the future of humanity, I'm very optimistic that private industry can fill the gap should Kerry abandon it. And even if they don't, we can easily get back on track in another four years (and will have good reason to, given that China will be lapping us by then, and Iran will be developing itself as a space power). If the Bush regime stayed in power, the same couldn't be said about the supreme court, the national debt, civil liberties, Iraq, and whatever other messes they might get us into.
