Over the past several years here, I've been reading that liberals are stupid, deluded, intolerant, traitorous, greedy (for other people's money, as if we never pay taxes), venal, godless (which is at least true sometimes), insane, and more things that I just can't remember. Oh, and elitist.

Now I can look forward to 4 more years of this, plus gloating.

Excuse me if I don't find this acceptable. The liberals I know have a different set of internal rules than conservatives do, one to which few of the above adjectives ever apply.

And do I feel any safer? Absolutely not! Not that it matters much, since you guys all know what's better for me than I do. Oh, wait... that's supposed to be a liberal characteristic...

You suggest that I move out of Mathersville. From my point of view, it looks like Mathersville is taking over. I've seen how this works from the inside. May I venture to suggest that you may not be thrilled with an America that reflects the people who expended the most effort getting out the vote for George Bush? Not the voters themselves, mind you. They had two choices, neither of them peaches. Their agendas may not be the same as the activists'.

Maybe lame duckiness will free George from his activists. I can hope. Or maybe we can look forward to national Hallowe'en reduction laws.
