Thank you, Masked Application!
ViewManager installed itself on my IE setup (a bad click. Don't ask.) Added this new menu, and informed me that it had "turned off error handling for Java." What? HOW? All those stupid "run time error" flags that started when I upgraded Office are now gone! I uninstalled Viewmanager, and it left politely, but still leaving those annoying error messages toggled off. Don't know how it did it, but I'm glad it passed through.
