They are not important. It is what you do with them that becomes important.

George Washington lost 90% of his battles. Going to Trenton he managed to yank victory from the jaws of defeat and let us survive.

You can win all the wars, all the battles and be defeated in the long run by political machinations.

Try not to gloat over military victories, or malign an honest perspective on events like Bowser's.
