Space/Science » in reply to Pluto/Charon

re:Thanks

My question related to an old SF story I was rereading and wondering what would be correct science today.

The story had an alien base on Pluto. In the fifty year old story Pluto has an atmosphere with wind and a volcano forms over "night" next to the base.

If you were going to update the science in the story the location for the alien base would have to be more like Io or Titian in some aspects. Both are cold and have either atmosphere or volcanism and thus a localized atmosphere.
