Nope, I never bothered to search; it would have been a true needle in a haystack sort of situation. If I'd had a metal detector at my disposal, I might have given it a try (given how long the sparks continued to glow, even when they were small enough to become wind-blown, I assume it was metallic rather than chondritic), but alas I didn't. Guess I'll just have to wait until my next meteor strike... :-)
