It would be a really crappy precedent for China to take over North Korea by force. Don't know what the hell anyone could do about it at China's current military level.

But what if North Korea officially asked to be annexed? Kind of like if Puerto Rico finally decided they wanted to be a state? Might they be that desperate?

Anybody know the precedents for this sort of thing?
