I don't celebrate these religious 'holidays' nor do I allow my emplyees to do so. This Thursday, I had a staff development day, with mandatory attendance. As for food, I ordered pizza from the local convenience store, which fortunately doesn't close. I reminded the workers that their next job would probably be pizza delivery should they fail to perform their jobs adequately. Dec. 24 and 25 is the next mandatory staff meeting. I write performance appraisals the next day. Whining, etc gets factored into these reviews (not being a team player). For Dec 24/25, we're getting Indian food, as a timely reminder that work can easily be outsourced...
