Sorry to rain on your parade of delusions here

But even the piece that you link to refers to the Turkey as a decoration. Sorry, I don't get it, and its not the point. The point is that your Blogger didn't site anything suggesting that he was right- just other diatribes.

Frankly, none of this matters, and I really don't give a crap if the Turkey was fake or not. The point is that your 'Blogs' that you point to as a revolution in news media, and so much an innovation over 'legacy media' seems to be completely devoid of substance, nothing but a set of diatribes pasted together with links to other diatribes and to news sources that don't actually say what the Blogger says that they say. Note that your blogger does not reference your story (or at least not that I could tell after 15min of digging through his phlegmatic polemic crap)

This reminds me of the occassional paper I would see when I taught actively at a University. Some kid would make up sources to support his argument, thinking we wouldn't notice. When approached, the Kid would get exasperated and invariably proclaim: "Well, I'm obviously right, but I couldn't find any sources to support me. So I just made some up. Big Deal- Since I'm right what does it matter".

The point that I am trying to make, Tom, is that the American Right has revised truth so many times and split so many semantic hairs about Bush, the War and the Economy, that they are simply going through the 'form' of legitimate argument without substance. Tossing out references that neither support their argument or contain what is claimed. Youre so right anyway, why bother with messy little things like facts and sources? Your perceptions are the right perceptions, your values are the innately correct ones- so why does it matter? Everyone else is just plain wrong.

I have been reading posts here on CE diligently, although I have not participated. What I have seen here is bad and getting worse. History is repleat with foklks who think they were right, and brought about all sorts of horrors and moral wrongs. You [collectively, the right] are just another layer on this historical onion.

I think that if you took a 'break' from shiled carrying for a month. Took a break from rage-fixing with these 'Blogs', and then came back and read this shit, you would be seriously concerned. This is not argumentation, this is not reason directing political thought- This is chanting in unison as loud as you can.

And don't tell me that the left does it to. I know they do. Mommy-they-do-it-too arguments (see below) ARE NOT a reasoned defense of doing something.

"Sorry my link wasn't up to the brilliant standards of sourcing I see around here."

Case in point. Mommy they did it to.

"Bush's popularity with the military is only one more in a long list of reasons for the Left to hate him.
"

I wouldn't be so sure that Bush is popular with the military. 'Specially kids coming back from Iraq. You might want to look past the few ebullient posts featured by pundits on the right and listen to what the kids are saying as a whole. Its certainly not anti-bush uniformly, but its a lot more nuanced and grey than you color it.
