The outcome of the war in Iraq depends on only ONE unknown: the effectiveness of the Iraqi Security Service.
If the Iraqi Security Service becomes increasingly effective, the terrorists are doomed. Accurate intelligence will place the terrorists in the crosshairs of American firepower. Nobody and nothing survives the treatment that our firepower can deliver. If we know where they are, they are as good as dead.
We did very well in Fallujah and in the nearby regions recently, largely due to the Iraqi Intelligence Service. If it continues to improve, we can clean up the mess in Baghdad before election time.
If the Iraqi Intelligence Service fails, our mission will fail also.
