What you said didn't change what I said about insight.
It took me a number of years to read everything Rand wrote because I actually did. And her work was just one of many, many things I read and studied to get to where I am now.
Being a "progressive" is the intellectual equivalent of floating down the Apple River on a summer day in an inner tube. Give the right responses, like and hate the right things, regurgitate the right talking points, vote the Party line, and if you're lucky you can go for months without ever having to fire up the front end of your brain in the realm of political ideas.
For example, do you still think believe indexing wages to the cost of living is a good idea?
Rogers isn't stupid. He just doesn't want to leave that comfortable political inner tube, just like a lot of other people. Frankly, in his industry, anything else is a liability.
