Jacob's comment piqued my curiosity. The following URL shows the momument to Hideki Tojo's which contains some of his ashes.

I'm a little bit surprised that the United States permitted Tojo to have an honorable burial. After the major Nazi war criminals were condemned, hung and cremated, their ashes were scattered in secret at a nearby river (I would have flushed them down a toilet). I believe they were cremated at KZ-Dachau but I could be mistaken about this. There was a deliberate effort not to enable memorials to be made for those monsters. It's arguable whether or not Tojo was as wicked as the high level Nazis. Certainly Hitler and Heinrich Himmler were more evil. Tojo's ashes should have been scattered over the ocean.
