I used RealVNC once while working with a techie trying to get their software to work. Since I was on the server at the time, I was doing stuff while she told me what to do and watched. It worked out pretty good until she decided to take control without warning me and started opening folders. It freaked me out, and I told her on my server I drive and she watches. She apologized and we went on to finish up with me behind the mouse.
The moral being if you are going to use it with folks be sure to establish some ground rules from the start. It will put people more at ease if you do. Especially people as paranoid as I am. (After I hung up I uninstalled the client immediatly.)
