I wonder if one could make a business case for a Mars movie?
I wonder if one could make a business case for putting an Imax camera on a Mars Lander or Mars Airplane? Have it go to Mars, create an Imax movie, digitize the movie and then down link it to Earth. The movie "Titanic" cost about $200 million to make and made about $600 million. If they made an Imax Mars movie on a tight budget with sharp engineers, they might(?) be able to do it for about a quarter billion. Of course getting enough people to watch the movie is the tricky bit (The Martian surface doesn't have the same appeal as steamy scenes of Leonardo and Kate).
