For the record, Chris Gregoire is a personal friend. She is an outstanding individual who would make an excellent Governor. She is a moderate Democrat who gets along well with both democrats and republicans.
The facts here are simple...573 votes that should have been counted were not. Each and every uncounted vote can be associated with a specific person. There's no fraud here. The recount is proceeding according to Washington state law. Only 43 votes separate the two candidates. That means have each and every valid vote is essential and must be counted. Anything less would be undemocratic.
Here is the list of individuals whose constitutional rights to have their vote counted would be denied: 573 King County ballots improperly disqualified
This isn't about dead people or dimpled chads. This is about real votes that didn't get counted that should be.
