Doug,

You add important content to this forum. I urge you to reconsider.

The HZ is important for Space Exploration advocacy because it is closely tracked by Google and has significant exposure to science reporters in the MSM. Your content is one of the reasons why Google tracks the HZ.

It's difficult to manage a Space Exploration discussion group on the Internet. Keeping enough people involved to maintain "critical mass" is a real challenge. I've been in more than one group that just evaporated because it could not mantain critical mass. I'd say the HZ Space Exploration discussion group is just a gnat's whisker above critical mass.

Lunatics and assholes are the opposite problem to critical mass. Screwballs attract other screwballs and drive out rational people. The UseNet and MSNBC were notorious for their Internet loons. The HabitableZone was created as a refuge from the loonies. I'm here because I got tired of arguing with insanity.

I just noticed that Steve Smythe's nonsense has been scraped off. I think that's the moderator's way a saying "please come back". Now if the moderator would only give tax leech and Uncle Eddy the boot......
