Paid sex is common throughout the world and is not a major bone of contention in international circles or corporate prosecution. The US is not condemed for Nevada nor European countries for numerous red light districts. There is also no hint of official promotion of such tactics. On the other hand they could be similar in that both may simply be cases of the minority bad element in human populations. On the other hand again, officials turning their heads the other way (if that was the case) to rape is worse than taking nude pictures and sexual humiliation. I think we have an apples and oranges situation here that none the less could reflect as poorly on the UN as the prison scandal did on the US.
