Obviously it's not every last newspaper and TV network. But a lot of the major ones seem to fall into this category.

You are assigning them too much consistency of thought by wondering if they want American soldiers to die. No, they don't.

They don't want the terrorists to win, or soldiers to die. They just don't want to see America win this war. Yes, that makes no sense, but like I said, consistency of thought and logic don't have a lot to do with it.

There are foundational leftist principles at stake here that go back a lot further than Vietnam. Suffice it to say, that if this war is won and Iraq becomes a free nation, it will go over in a lot of circles like the bones of Christ would at the Vatican.
