And supposedly in a democracy we are responsible for our country's actions- so yeah I might protest the actions at Abu Gharib and Guantanamo a bit louder...

I guess its simpler to suscribe to brosz/ebnelson school of democracy- you know- "shut up smile and if you ever question your country's policies you are a traitor or even more bizzarrely a nazi..."

It bypasses that whole pesky 'moral integrity' thing...
