Plenty of stories of animals who ran or swam or flew away from danger, just on time.
A guy on a boat noticed the fish had suddenly left for deep sea and decided to do the same , which saved his life.
Perhaps a sixth sense or perhaps an unfortunate combination of events: humans are by nature curious and this time, this killed them: a tsunami approaching must be something quite fascinating to witness. Also, all over the world, the most densily populated areas are always on the coasts or along important rivers, always near water. And over here, fo instance, it's 330 inhabitants per square kilometer (Belgium, Holland) in a completely flat country.
There are, I hear, about 5,000 europeans at least who were vicitims of the tsunami. They were seeking a warmer climate than the one at home and it must be the good season for tourism in SE Asia this time of the year.
Brussels won't organize fireworks at the City Hall this evening.
