I own a dual processor board and I'm very happy with it. Right now its got two XP-1700 CPUs on it that I modified into MP-1700 CPUs throught the L-5 reconnection trick. I recently bought two XP-2400 CPUs through eBay (which is getting more sleezy everyday). I attempted the L-5 trick and failed. The motherboard only recognized the CPU as an XP. I have since reverted back to the XP-1700 CPUs.

The XP-2400 was an AMD transition design from Thoroughbred to Barton (one of the last AMD CPUs to use the 133 Mhz memory bus). Apparently AMD marketed a fair number of different versions of the XP-2400 before they settled down to the basic Barton design.

Now my shot in the dark: Has anyone out there successfully done the L-5 trick with XP-2400 CPUs on an MSI-K7D motherboard?
