Saddam was fighting the fight Bush is/will have, that of trying to keep the Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites as a nation and away from civil war.
(By the way, Bush is using Kurds against Iraqis, very much the way the Soviets used Asians against the Hungarians and Czechs. All of them "Soviets", but not at all alike.)
Kurds are Iraqis the way Chechnyans are Russian.
Anyway, if the revolt against the occupation lessens, it's place will be taken by a more "civil" war, and more folks will die.
The body count from this aggression is just starting.
