The parade route is not a secret. In fact, the Republican National Committee has erected grandstands and barriers en route for protest areas as well as viewing areas.
The problem that Moore, and other protestors are having, is the areas designated for them are closer to California than the parade route.
If the inauguration parade is just for partisan supporters it will be another Bush first. Perhaps you didn't notice, Bush is not universally loved, worshiped, and adored. It might come as a shock to you, but some are willing to take their time, brave the elements and discomfort just to boo the preznit.
They think it is their right under some arcane document called "The Bill of Rights." Some people actually believe in it.
