The "legacy mainstream media", whatever the hell that is, had nothing to do with condemning the supply out of that plant in England. The FDA did that. The media reported the shortage that was real at the time.

The hospital I temp'ed at briefly (med school of a state university, biggest hospital in a bi-state metropolitan area) had to cancel its annual free drive-through flu shot program owing to lack of supply -- that was just before Thanksgiving.

Now that the supply's been restored -- two months later -- the Midwest is going begging for flu shot recipients, too. (I don't work at that hospital at the moment, so I don't know if they've tried to reschedule what was jokingly called the "drive-by shooting".)

You conveniently connect the real shortage of November with the real surplus in January without any intervening timeline, then blame the media for "hysteria". Typical. "Cognitive disconnect" is bad enough -- sloppy re-connect is, perhaps, worse.

As for me, I did what the President asked in November: I passed on the shot so someone at more risk could have it.
