so what was growing in the mud to create all those easily identified structural anomalies in the rocks that look, at first glance, like fossils?
I'm amazed that you could get it so wrong. The fossils are clearly invisible, have no interaction with their environment whatsoever, and are everywhere.
Why couldn't you see that straight away? Are you one of .. them?
