I was going to use a flashlight sweeping back-and-forth analogy, but that
analogy would only work if the Huygen's transmitter were unidirectional.
A better analogy would be that of the old-fashioned UHF/VHF TV antennas.
You rock those antennas back-and-forth the signal strength and quality of reception varied accordingly.
