Iapetus quarried?
Hi All
Half serious possibility - what would an icy moon look like itf it was quarried for volatiles to fling Sun-wards with a mag-lev? I would suggest a bit like this...

...the 'ridge' is clearly a mag-lev ramp compensating for the payload's increasing speed, while the two huge 'crater' depressions are the quarries, mining a different mix of volatiles in different areas.
Now I'm not seriously proposing such but it sure looks like something artificial if you squint.
