I believe Titan's rotation is synchronous with Saturn, which would reduce or eliminate tidal forces from that source. Don't know how other gravitational influences would affect any liquids on the surface.
How opaque is the atmosphere exactly? Obviously light gets to the ground, since the probe didn't use flash photography. Could you see the sun through the haze? Saturn?
