"The Village" and low expectations
I watched the dvd of this MNS film this week.
Surprisingly, it was not as bad as I expected. Unfortunately, Shamalian probably set his career back a decade by promoting the film as a horror flick. It was a decent story of a group of people dropping out but it did not deliver the horror that the promos promised.
The cast and performances ranged from good to pretty bad but with a little tweaking it could have been a very good film.
I also finished "Snow Crash" this week. Not bad and very entertaining, I am looking forward to reading more from Neal Stephenson.
