I have seen some of the energy industry's environmental efforts first hand. I have been involved with them in several ways in the past 30 years. I will let you in on a secret. The people who run the energy companies don't give a damn about anything except profits. Period. No different than any other industry. It is one of the flaws of Capitalism that the emphasis on profits effectively kills any other goals, such a protecting the environment.
