The initial efforts to keep the Genesis sample plates ultra-clean were heroic.
Nick has nailed it: "Wait for the results of the analysis...". I'll believe the scientific results were salvaged AFTER I see a peer reviewed article about Genesis indicating usefulness. Until then I'll assume it's spin and happy talk.
