And there's a lot of them. No wonder nobody commented. Either they're too lazy to look or they don't WANT to look.
My observation is always the same....WHAT are we doing THERE?
There is NO reason for us to be there. No reason to have those children crying, burning, holding grenade launchers, sitting in rubble, bleeding, giving thumbs down to American soldiers, be horribly burned, or be laying dead in caskets.
NONE.
Except for the PANAC thinking of a group of men who decidely thinking invading Iraq would be the start of "democracy" in the Middle East. Not to mention controlling the oil wells so Europe, Russia and China would need to go through us first. All sold to the public as a LIE, (WMD) driven by religious zealism from an easily manipulated infantile leader (oh, did I mention he MEANS well?)
Seriously disturbing. It just makes me shake my head how far down the ladder we've gone. Unimportant reasons to go to war. Torture on demand. Sifting through hundreds of thousands of people from a different culture to see if "they're with us or against us". Jailing or killing those who aren't, and creating a a no-win, no-love situation AT YOUR EXPENSE. A whole system of our government called democracy has now been debased and used as a means to an end to bring about neocon thinking and planning worldwide. From religion to politics. To bring "light into darkened corners" by using 500 pound bombs. And our sons.
Yup, Jesus would be proud. Aren't we all "free"? Those kids faces show us EXACTLY what George Bush's "democracy" is all about.
You conservatives here can continue to lap up the lie and hope for the best, but you are part of the guiltless, blameless crowd that is responsible for these atrocities.
