To give you a few more tantalizing details...

....the fictional liquid-fueled, 24,000Ib thrust Australian booster
in my story serves as a fictional second-stage
to a 420,000Ib thrust storable-propellant British rocket.
Indeed, in actual history, the British did develop a LOX/Kerosene fueled
rocket of upto 270,000 Ibs of thrust in the late 1950's, if my memory serves me correct.
It was called "Blue Streak"; my fictional British booster is named after a medieval
weapon [sorry! I could only leave you with that hint].
The problem with the Blue Streak was?...It used LOX/kerosene for propellant, so it
could not carry out a retaliatory nuclear strike on short notice. My fictional
British booster overcomes this problem with storable liquid propellant....
And with the fictional Australian booster for a second-stage, it serves as a launcher
for Anglo-Australian unmanned moon missions in the 1960's.

There are some interesting fictional characters introduced; some Australian, some British, some American and Russians, too.
A few more hints: The novel has the Americans landing on the moon, but not in 1969.
And the Soviets? They send up the first satellite, but not in 1957...They also achieve
manned landings on the moon, and they do it before 1969.
The French will send a probe to flyby a NEO asteroid in the year 1968.
That's all the tantalizing clues and hints I'll give of what's contained in my novel.
To learn more, you'll have to read the completed work.

Isn't that a fair ripper deal?
