speaking of blatant fabrications

Your money will grow, over time, at a greater rate than anything the current system can deliver
(not a lie as such, but he would be prosecuted if he tried this in an financial planning commercial.......)

OK, although all financial investment statements have to say that past performance is no guarateee of future results, only ideologically partisan Dems would argue that SS's 1-2% 'return' would likely exceed that of a broadbased indexed stock portfolio. Equity returns have averaged 8%/yr over every 10 year period for the last 60 years. A broadbased index fund is very likely to perform at that level. Only someone desiruos of keeping voters dependent on the 'largesse' of elected pols would be against allowing future retirees from participating in such gains.

FYI HZers, Vanguard has a variety of index funds with very low expense ratios.
