I have been interested in the saucer shaped aircraft since the 1950's when the Avrocar was in development.
I'm sure that many improvements could be made to the design that would make it useful as a transportation device.
For instance today's computers could be used to control and stabilize the craft.
I also suspect that the engineers in those days did not fully understand how to utilize the "Coanda effect" for maximum efficiency.
