Much greater threats exist - global warming, overpopulation, ecological disasters, poverty and disease, ignorance, economic meltdowns.
Seems like there's two sides to that coin, isn't there? The Left also has a long and glorious history of using fear as a political weapon. But of course, all their boogeymen are real, right?
What's interesting is that I have never seen a single solution for any of the many problems touted by the Left that did NOT involve the massive increase of the power of the centralized authority, and the decrease of individual freedom.
Not one.
And I could write pages about the sheer unadulterated crap being taught to children and other in the Middle East, even in nations like Egypt, with the sole purpose of demonizing Israel and America. As just one of many examples, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion has been displayed in Egyptian museums and been the subject of television series that tout them as factual.
I agree that rational education is a solution, including educating people around the world on how a political system based on individual rights will deliver the goods a lot better than one based on the supremacy of the state or other central authority.
