That's a weird one.
Wouldn't jump to conclusions on this just yet. I was under the impression that the Syrians were easing up on Lebanon. They are under a LOT of pressure from the Iraq coalition, which is well-aware that much of the insurgency is being run from Syrian territory, even if the government isn't directly involved.
DEBKAfile thinks it's the Syrian government, too, but then they would, wouldn't they?
