There used to be major fund raising in the bars around Boston. A certain well-known Boston Irish family lent encouragement to these donations. Like today's Muslim charities, much of this $ really went to fund terrorists. After 911, most folks wised up and IRA terrorism lost much of its cachet.
But the Irish heathen Protestants in the North do not want the Brit troops to leave.
