re: A Soldier Speaks Out

I was in a pub in Chichester, (Southern England) last summer with some friends. We were sat near the bar watching a Soccer match. A chap was sat next to us talking to his friends. One couldnt help but hear him talking about the letters and phonecalls from his son who was a young soldier based out in Iraq ( I believe in Basra )

He mentioned that it was a bloody, horrific mess. Soldiers didnt have basic things such as ammunition, boots, body armour, helmets....food. There were dead women & children littering the streets whever they went.

I talked to him myself for a while and he told me of the phonecalls and the letters his son has sent, and similar things sent to a relative who's son was based in the same area.

It is from the first hand experiences that I draw my conclusions regarding the way things are done in Iraq. Not from the media.
