Chancellor Konrad Adanauer [1955-1967] was a professed Christian,
and ruled West Germany with great wisdom and integrity, making West Germany a prosperous democracy.
That was only 38 years ago.
"Christian" Democrats in Italy withstood the powerful Italian Communist party for decades,
[preventing Italy from slipping behind the Iron Curtain] until the collapse of Communism
in 1989-1991....And the Italian economy performed better under their political rule than
most Iron Curtain countries back then.
