Need help Executing a SQL Stored Procedure in a VB.Net
It seem like all information I find on calling up Stored Procedures in a vb.net application talk about return the data as a dataset. I have been trying to find the right code to just execute a stored procedure.
I have a Stored Procedure that does all the work on the database. All I need VB.net to do is run this Stored Procedure at a place in the program. I don't need it to do anything else. I know this has to be simple. Here is what I have written;
Dim SqlCon As SqlConnection
Sub PopulateDestination()
Dim command As SqlCommand = _
New SqlCommand("StoredProcedurePopDest", SqlCon)
command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure
SqlCon.Open()
SqlCon.Close()
End Sub
