One industry in Cuba that brings in significant foreign exchange is tourism. Cuba is in desperate economic conditions. Therefore, the logical thing to do is to "get tough on tourism". If Marxism had been invented by Chico, Graucho, and Harpo and adminstered by Moe, Larry, and Curly, it could not possibly be stupider than it is. Cuba, the beloved shining hope of the Far Left is much like something out of a slapstick movie.

HAVANA, Cuba (CNN) -- In a move intended to centralize and strengthen Communist Party control of Cuban society, the island's government has introduced regulations barring Cubans who work in the tourist industry "from having personal contact with foreigners."

Of course, work in tourism without having "personal contact" with tourists. That is logical, if you are a total idiot, like Castro.
