In the context of this thread, I was speaking of the courage of the Italians. That soldiers die in wars, sometimes in numbers that dwarf the current casualties, does not change that point.

On the other hand, maybe, like some others here, you really think the only thing worth measuring in this conflict is casualties, and that success in a war is solely measured by how few of your side are killed.
