At the time I was wondering: "What do we do if the boat capsizes?"
However the river's shore was within easy swimming distance. I concluded that we'd swim to shore and walk home (river boat cruising isn't very dangerous). I've talked to people who were in Moreton Bay during a green storm and they were convinced they were going to die.
My wife and I got off lucky with our silly river boat adventure.
