First the swarm of earthquakes off the Northwest coast. Then, I take the Honda into the shop today, and plant myself in the waiting room. The latest Smithsonian magazine is there, so I'm happy. Then I find myself reading an article on the subduction fault in the Northwest, and the evidence of massive tsunamis in the past. Hmm. Okay.
The TV in the lounge is playing one of the morning news shows. While I'm looking at this article, a news story comes up...on the subduction zones and ancient tsumanis in the Northwest.
Ooooeeeeeeoooooeeeeee.....
All right, I know. The earthquake swarm and Mt. St. Helens got someone's attention in the TV newsroom this morning, so there's really only two levels of weirdness here. But if I were Lindy, and lived around Seattle, I'd be camping out on top of a mountain. Preferably non-volcanic...
Omens and portents...
